Joseph Smart Obituary

Joseph P. Smart, 82, died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 6, 1936 in Toledo to the late Hulverson and Mary (Brooker) Smart. Joe retired with 25 years of service from Reiter Automotive. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards. Joe was a member of Paragon Lodge #788.

Joe is survived by Joyce his loving wife of 64 years; children David (Brenda), Angela (Frank) Thomas, Ken (Sonya), Kevin and Joseph (Michelle); 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers Donald and Boyd Guess and daughter-in-law Julia.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 2 - 8 p.m. where Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. Private burial to be observed by family.
