Kay Hermine (Keaton) Mottmiller

Kay H. Mottmiller, 77, of Oregon passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.  She was born on June 27, 1939 to Maynard and Hilda (Driftmeyer) Keaton.  Kay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She enjoyed visiting Amish country with her husband. The family enjoyed many Christmas celebrations where she always had a personal thoughtful gift for each family member or guest.  Kay was very talented at ceramics, enjoyed her flower garden, and was an excellent cook.   Her home was always open and everyone was welcome. Kay was a member of St. Ignatius Parish.

She was preceded in death by her husband and soul mate of 54 years, Joseph F. Mottmiller, Sr.; daughter, Faith Ann; father, Maynard; mother and stepfather, Hilda and Otis Redmond; sister, Carol Avery; brothers, Bill Keaton and Richard Keaton; and daughter-in-law, Sue Mottmiller. Kay is survived by her brother, Robert Keaton; children, Sheree (Reginald) St. John, Terrie Mottmiller, Joseph Mottmiller, Jr., Heidi (Daniel) Wenner, and Richard (Aimee) Mottmiller; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 Friends may visit St. Ignatius Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd. in Oregon from 9-10 am on Saturday, May 6, 2017 with the Memorial Mass to begin at 10 a.m.   Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ignatius Building Fund.  The family would like to extend thanks to Hospice of Northwest Ohio and a special thanks to Fr. Mark Herzog.
