Louise M. (McLaughlin) Skirvin

           Louise M. Skirvin, 95, of Whitehouse, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo Center.  She was born on June 12, 1922 in Harrodsburg, Indiana to Alva and Mary McLaughlin.  Louise left high school early to support our country by working in a Defense Factory Plant during, WWII.  She retired from Mercy-St. Charles Hospital after 17 years as a Dietary Supervisor.  Louise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.  She loved spending time with her family, her family was her world. She also volunteered for many years at the Whitehouse Library and Whitehouse Country Manor. She will be dearly missed.

            Louise is survived by her children, Scott Skirvin, Marc (Marcy) Skirvin; grandchildren, Miranda, Michael (Sara), and Sean (Lilly) Skirvin; great-grandson, Tyan and her daughter-in-law, Bonnie.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years, Robert; her son, Danny and her siblings, Ray McLaughlin, Jeanne Bennett and Farrell McLaughlin.

           Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 10-12 p.m. where services will be held at 12 noon.  Burial will follow at Willow Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Special Olympics or to Down Syndrome Foundation.
