Marcella "Sally" Ball, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on December 5, 2016 in her winter home of Alamo, Texas at the age of 81.
 

Sally was born June 29, 1935 to Oliver and Florence Hall in Oregon, Ohio, where she lived most of her life and lovingly raised her own family. She married the love of her life Sylvester "Tom" Ball after graduating from Clay High School in 1953. They raised 3 children and Sally worked many jobs from Szuch’s Fish House, Bill's Carryout, and had many happy years at Martin Jewelers.
 

Sally was also involved in politics and ran for Oregon City Council a couple of times. She also was a faithful member of St. Ignatius Church and had been involved with their Alter Rosary Society.
 

After retiring Tom and Sally wintered in Alamo, Texas enjoying the warm weather, and making many friends in their park, Trophy Gardens. Sally loved line dancing, water aerobics and also became a fine horseshoe thrower, winning the gold medal three times in the senior Olympics with her partner. Everyone will miss her sense of humor and contagious laughter.
 

Sally is survived and will be missed by her husband, Tom Ball, children: Sandy (Mike) Cousino, Jeffery (Carol) Ball and Rosana (Zeca) Melo. Grandchildren; Mike Cousino, Curtis (Brooke) Cousino, Jillian (Heath Kahn) Ball, and Ross Ball. Great-grandchildren; Alexis and Zander Cousino, and Castiel Ball; Sisters, Mary DuPont and Joann Lott. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, and loving daughter Diann.
 

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd. in Oregon, Ohio where family will greet guests after 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or St. Ignatius Church for mass intentions.
