Mark A. Cole, age 57, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at his home in Genoa, OH. He was born June 11, 1954 in Toledo, OH to Daniel and Doris (Eckhart) Cole.
Mark Received a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Toledo graduating Phi Kapa Phi. Master of Arts and Master of Fine Arts graduating Phi Eta Sigma from the University of Bowling Green. Mark belonged to the Outstanding College Students of America and Artist With Disabilities Group in Columbus, OH. He was employed by Ability Center of Greater Toledo, Sylvania, OH. He loved every minute of his work there. Mark was also a Blue’s C.D. Reviewer for so many different magazines and artists. His family, friends, blues music and art was his whole life. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, friends and family for their support through the years.
Mark is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Marlene (Callahan) Cole; daughters Billie Jo Leichty (Ronald Robinson) and Andrea (Karl) Billings; brothers Gary, Randy and James (Laura) Cole, sisters Doris Cole and Debbie Coleman; grandkids Jr., Luke, Breanna, Kayla and Madison. Also an extended family of artists, friends and Blues Lovers , we have met through the years and have meant so much to us. He is preceded in death by his parents Dan & Doris Cole; and brothers Daniel & Michael MJ. The family would like to thank Northwest Ohio Hospice for their support and loving care.
Friends may visit the family from 2-7p.m. on Saturday, March 24th at Freck Funeral Chapel (1155 S. Wynn Rd Oregon, Ohio) where a Memorial Service will follow at 7p.m. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make memorial donations are asked to consider the family.
