Melinda Harris

Melinda Harris, 26, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center.  She was born on May 19, 1992 in Toledo, Ohio to Crystal and Franklin Harris, Jr.  Melinda attended Waite High School before becoming a mother of 2 beautiful daughters.  She loved her family and was a great mother.  Melinda was known as the life of the party and lived life to the fullest.  She always had family or friends around her.  Melinda was the family protector, always sticking up for her sisters.  She loved Batman and animals, especially horses.  She will be dearly missed.

Melinda is survived by her daughters, Mia Peters and Makenna Harris; parents, Crystal and Franklin Harris, Jr.; sisters, Rebecca and Breyanna Harris; grandmothers, Diane Fotherangham and Adora “Skip” Harris; aunts, Roxane (David) Miklos and Tonya Padilla, many uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Franklin Harris Sr.; great-grandparents, Delores and Elwood Groll and her brother, Franklin Harris III.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday, from 9-11 a.m. where services will follow at 11 a.m.  Please wear a favorite Batman shirt or her favorite color red.  Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to her daughters, c/o Roxane Miklos.
