Nora Wauford Obituary

Nora (Irwin) Wauford, 56, of Northwood, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Nora was born July 7, 1962 to Herbert and Mary (O’Halloran) Irwin in Toledo. She was an occupational therapist assistant and specialized in hand therapy.

Nora is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jim Wauford; daughter, Josie Wauford; step-son, Chris Wauford; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Cathy (Pat) Zaleski, Nancy Ellis, John (Janice) Irwin, Jim Irwin, Mike Irwin, Cal (Peggi) Irwin, Betsy (Mike) Way; mother-in-law, Marilyn Wauford; brother-in-law, Bill (Cindy) Wauford; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, William Wauford.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, from 3-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Jerome Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 11 a.m., with family to greet guests after 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jerome Catholic Church or the National Kidney Foundation.
