Norma J. (Francis) Luna

Norma J. Luna, 91, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Little Sisters of the Poor. She was born June 14, 1927 in Kansas City, MO and resided most of her life in the Toledo and Oregon area. Norma was a glassworker with Libbey Glass retiring with over 36 years’ service. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Norma was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, attending and watching well into her 80’s. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and collecting Precious Moments. Norma loved traveling in the states, especially to Branson, MO and also enjoyed bus day trips with her friends. Family time was special to Norma.

            Norma is survived by children Janis Wamer, Linda Kuehn, Al (Tami) Luna III, Kelly (Dan) Abrahamowicz and Kerry (Daniel) Prater; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Dorothy Francis and LaVeta Francis; a niece and a nephew. She is preceded in death by her parents Claud and Maxine (English) Francis; husband Al M. Luna; brothers Walter and Norman Francis

Family will receive guests after 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 106 W. Plumer St., Toledo, OH 43605 followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Paul’s Home, 476 Riddle Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45220.
