Our beloved mom became an Angel on Saturday, August 4, 2018. Jean was born on June 21, 1929 in Apache, Oklahoma. As a child, she grew up in Fairfield, California. It was there she met, on a blind date, her husband, the late Kenneth Boltz. The wedding took place in her father’s home on December 21, 1947. Shortly after, the couple moved to the east side of Toledo where she raised her family.Kenny and Jean were active in boating and belonged to Harbor View Yacht Club.

Jean is survived by her son, Darrel (Carol) Boltz; daughters, Gayle Maves, and Peggy (Randy) Koch; grandchildren, Carey (Cynthia), Andrea (Kyle), Jodi (Jason), Christina (Ryan), Kyle (Heather), and nine precious great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; infant son; and brother, Garland Davis.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral service to begin at 1. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Parkcliffe Memory Care Community at Northwood and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
