Richard "Dick The Butcher" L Kutz

Richard L. Kutz, Sr. aka (Dick The Butcher), 85, fought a long hard battle with cancer, died Friday, November 2, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born September 20, 1933 in Toledo. Dick was a 1949 graduate of Libby High School. Never being afraid of hard work he became a Butcher/Sausage Maker, retiring from Kroger’s and U.F.C.W. after 40 years of service. Dick was proud of his community and heritage belonging to several organizations and being very active in 5 out of the 7 different G.A.F. Societies.  He also belonged to the V.F.W., O.U.L. Boat Club in Point Place. He was an avid sportsman and boater. Dick enjoyed shuffle board, euchre, darts and pool. He was a true caring and giving man who enjoyed making people happy.

He is survived by his darling wife Marlene aka “Soupy” (Warren) Kutz of 49 years. His large blended family; children  Jeff (Vikki) Kutz, Kathy (Kutz) Stults, Brenda Heuring (Mike Mayberry), Sue (Danial) Deak and Kim (James) Maher;  numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; siblings, Norman L. Kutz Jr., Marlene Stiltner, Millie Mapes, Donna Jean Krego, and James Kutz. Dick is preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters; a brother; beloved son Richard L. Kutz, Jr. aka (Rocky Stone) and grandson Christopher M. Kutz.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. Memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m at St. James Lutheran Church, 4727 W. Sylvania Ave., Toldeo, OH 43623. Memorial contributions can be made to St. James Lutheran Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
