Robert "Bob" Slaughterbeck

            Robert “Bob” Slaughterbeck, 77, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Mercy-St. Charles Hospital.  He was born on October 20, 1939 in North Baltimore, Ohio to Vivian L. Aldridge and John C. Slaughterbeck.  Bob was a 1957 graduate of Waite High School and served in the U.S. Air Force.  He married his wife, Rosemary in 1964 and together they raised two daughters.  Bob worked many years with fiberglass and eventually owned and operated Interstate Fiberglass Company.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and reading.  Bob enjoyed his yearly fishing trips to Florida with his brother, John and nephew, Bob.  He will be dearly missed.

            Bob is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rosemary “Toots”; daughters, Melinda (Roy “Tiger”) Glass and Jodi Slaughterbeck; grandchildren, Ali Slaughterbeck and Tyler (Heather) Glass; great-granddaughter, Adalynn Glass and his brother, John (Barb) Slaughterbeck.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Frank Slaughterbeck, Carole Schieb and Beverly Roberts.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, from 2-8 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
