Ronald Koch Obituary

Ronald M. Koch, 87, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born April 28, 1931 in Toledo. Ron was a 1949 graduate of Clay High School and a member of the Clay High School Alumni Group. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of First St. John Lutheran Church. Ron was a 22 ½ year heart transplant recipient. He enjoyed traveling especially to Florida where Ron and Joanne wintered. Ron is remembered by his children and grandchildren as quite the jokester.

 

Ron is survived by Joanne his loving wife of 61 years; sons, Randal (Peggy) Koch, Martin (Laurie) Koch and daughter, Jennifer St. John (Jim Rose); grandchildren, Matthew, Christina (Ryan), Joseph (Renae), Daniel (Molly), Kyle (Heather), Ronald, Sandra and Noah; 6 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janet and Daniel Peacock; nephews, Terry, Ted and Tim and a niece, Jean. He is preceded in death by his parents Karl and Sylvia Koch; daughter Connie Sue Koch and son Timothy Koch.

 

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, July 29, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018 at First St. John Lutheran Church, 2471 Seaman St., Toledo, OH 43605 with the family to receive guests after 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at First St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to First St. John Lutheran Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
