Scott Langlois Obituary

Scott Alan Langlois, 52, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center.  He was born on February 14, 1966 in Toledo to Edward and Norma Langlois.  Scott was a graduate of Morrison R. Waite High School and worked as a union roofer with various companies, most notably for Nordman Roofing Company.  Scott suffered from a catastrophic injury in the fall of 2010.  Later he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. 

 

He was a member of Epiphany of the Lord Parish-Sacred Heart Church and was a very spiritual person.  Scott also had a fun loving personality.  He had a great way with words and his own vocabulary.  He was an avid sports fan and was a Green Bay Packers fan for many years.

 

Scott is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Cynthia Revilla-Langlois; son, Joshua Heverly-Langlois; daughters, Jesika and Erica Torres; mother, Norma Langlois; brothers, Tim (Sue), Steve “Beaver” and Edward “Barney”; sister, Kimberly; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his father, Edward S. Langlois, Sr. and son, Richard Torres Jr.

 

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 2 - 8 p.m. where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.   Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:15 a.m. and continue on with the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at Epiphany of the Lord Parish-Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
