Ted Csizek

Theodore “Ted” Csizek, 83, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on September 13, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio to Alex and Catherine Csizek.  Ted was a 1953 graduate of Central Catholic High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.  He married Kay Power on April 19, 1958 and together they raised 5 children.  Ted was a teacher for Toledo Public Schools for many years teaching at Woodward and Macomber High Schools. 

            Ted is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Kay; children, Ted Csizek, Katherine (Jim) Kookoothe, Susan (Louie) Kovacs, Tom (Lori) Csizek and Michael Csizek; 10 grandchildren, Dustin Ulrich, Mandy (Tim) Haynes, Nick (Katie) Ulrich, Aaron Kovacs, Jordan (Kat) Kovacs, Kayla Kovacs, Morgan Kovacs, Alex Csizek, Anthony Csizek and Matt Caseman; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Nancy) Csizek and his sister, Jeannie (Tom) McGuire.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Poddany.

Family and friends may visit Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St. Stephen Catholic Church on Friday, November 24, 2017, from 10-11 a.m. where the funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m.  Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of N.W. Ohio or Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St. Stephen Church.
