Victoria Snyder Obituary

Victoria (Vicky) E. Snyder, of Oregon Ohio and Pinellas Park, Florida was born on April 4 1915 and died September 20, 2019.

A loving and caring lady, she enjoyed giving to others.  In her winters in Florida, she spearheaded a group called Labor of Love in her mobile home park making handmade items for All Children’s Hospital, Hospice, and others in need.  She was a member of Golden Gate Church Congregation, a 70 plus year member of Lotus Chapter OES #477, former mother advisor of Lotus Assembly #20 order of Rainbow for Girls, Daughters of Jepthah, Emera Club.  She also worked hard for her children at Coy, Fassett, and Clay High Schools Mother’s Club, den mother, and one of the founding members of the Clay High Band Parents.  Vicky also volunteered many hours at the Lutheran Home, Meals on Wheels, and was a poll worker in the voting booth for over 30 years.  She attended Senior Centers and homemaker groups.

For many years, Vicky entered her hand-crafted items in local and state fairs, winning many ribbons.  She was an expert seamstress sewing many flower girl, bride maid, first communion dresses, men’s suit coats, shirts, and jackets.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mose and Ida (Shaheen) Elian, five sisters, loving husband Charles (Charley), and granddaughter Robin Gaff.  She is survived by her daughter Jennie Heeren, Pinellas Park, Fl, sons Michael (Judy Reed) and Daniel both of Oregon, Ohio, ten grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 22 great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great grandchild.

Friends may call at the Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S. Wynn Rd. Oregon, Ohio Thursday, September 26 from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. and Friday, September 27 from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M., funeral services at 11:00 A.M. A private burial will be at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the donor’s favorite charity. A celebration of life will be held later in Florida.
