William Don Hartbarger

      William “Don” Hartbarger, 86, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence.  He was born on March 17, 1931 in Chattanooga, TN to Willie and Tiny Hartbarger.  Don was a 1951 graduate of Clay High School and served in the U.S. Marines. Don worked for Colonial Builders for 40 years. He was known as a jack of all trades.  He could fix anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  Don was also a great witness to the Lord. He enjoyed spending time working in his garden. 

       Don is survived by his family, brother-in-law, Stub McGee; sister, Shirley Rose (John) Hunt; sisters-in-law, Joy E. Hartbarger and Patricia Hartbarger; brothers, Patrick (Barb) Hartbarger, Darrel Hartbarger and Phillip (Linda) Hartbarger and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mary McGee, James R. Hartbarger and Kenneth Hartbarger.

        Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, March 4, 2018, from 1-3 p.m. where funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Burial will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 11 a.m.
