Brenda Jean Roberts

Brenda Jean Roberts age 79 of Northwood passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Brenda was born in Toledo, Ohio to William Lloyd and Sarah Angeline (Glass) Riddle on September 20, 1944. Brenda married her high school sweetheart, Gary L. Roberts on July 1, 1961. She worked as a secretary in the life insurance industry but her true love was her home and family. Brenda had a home welcome to everyone and hosted Saturday night taco nights for years. She was a great cook and loved to craft. Brenda and her family enjoyed trips to their hunting camp in Pennsylvania, something she looked forward to every year. Brenda loved her family and everyone stayed close. She was also so grateful to have been able to take care of her grandchildren. Brenda will be deeply missed by her large and loving family.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 62 years Gary L. Roberts Sr.; children Gary L. Roberts Jr., Debora Carter, Jackie (Kenny) Wilson, and Randy A. Roberts; grandchildren Joshua (Chris) Cedoz, Dana Cedoz, Jordan Cedoz, Jessica Carter, Taylor (Selena) Colón, Trisha Mysinger, Cassandra Mysinger, and Samantha Mysinger; great-grandchildren Lilly, Logan, Kiana, Robert, Brooke, Noah, Xavier, and Jax; siblings Linda (Frank Hamilton) Tudor, Larry (Shirley) Riddle and sister-in-law MaryAnn Riddle.; nieces Carla, Andrea and Kathy and nephew Matthew. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Tim Riddle; and niece Stephanie Riddle.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd. in Oregon on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 2 until 8 p.m. The family will host a time of sharing on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions are appreciated to Elara Caring Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
