Jeanette Irene Gabel-Roe

Jeanette Gabel-Roe, age 75, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo Center surrounded by family.  She was born on October 15, 1948 in Grampian, Pennsylvania to Lewis and Helen “Betty” (Mahlon) Hahn.  Jeanette worked for 25 years as a cashier at Kroger’s and 20 years as a medical transcriptionist at St. Charles Hospital.    Jeanette enjoyed gardening, baking, and her annual trips to see the fall colors.  She was a member of Cornerstone Church and active in Al-Anon for many years.  She will be dearly missed.

Jeanette is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Frederick Roe; children, Jill (Steve) Kreuz, Amie Thompson, and Todd (Michelle) Gabel; grandchildren, Stephanie Kreuz, Michael Kreuz, Sarah (Jason) Hinkle, Rachel Kreuz, Aaron (Brittany Conner) Whitaker, Joshua (Madelyne) Whitaker, Julianna (Tyler) Swerlein, Devin Gabel, Kaitlyn Gabel, and Derek Harget; great-grandchildren, Landon Swerlein, Cara Swerlein, Sophia Roose, Carter Whitaker, Eleanor Whitaker, and one on the way; siblings, Audrey (Robert) Anderson, and Kathy Rowe.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Justin Everhardt; and brothers, Donald Hahn, and Roy Hahn.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 2-8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Friday in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Ovarian Cancer Connection.
