Bernard D. Scott

Bernard Dell Scott (Bernie), 82, of Williston, Ohio died September 9, 2025, unexpectedly at home with his wife of 61 years, Bernadette (Bunny). Bernie was a kind and humble man, and Bunny referred to him as her gentle giant. They spent over 51 years boating and being members of Cooley Yacht Club. Bernie loved his Baja “fast boat”. Bernie was an avid weightlifter and spent many years in the gym with his late son Troy and lifting partner Carl. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 123 for many years. He was a die maker at Chevrolet for 37 years retiring at age 55. Bunny and Bernie spent all of their winters in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida for over 25 years. They loved their days on the beach together and with their many friends, Bernie always with a cold Fosters beer in his hand.

Bernie is survived by his loving wife, Bunny; daughter, Deanna; sister, Mindy; grandson, Tyler (Anna) Scott and granddaughter Erica (Larry) Vanhooser; great-grandsons, Dawson and Dylan and great-granddaughter Fayth. He was preceded in death by his son Troy, grandson Canen, brother Dean (sister-in-law Rosemary) and his parents Howard and Alice.

A Celebration of Life for Bernie will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Freck Funeral Chapel.
