Betty Jane Carter

Betty Jane (Miner) Carter, age 96, Oregon, OH, went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2022. She was born to Raymond and Mary (Snyder) Miner on December 14, 1925 in Toledo, OH. Betty enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Nazarene later named Hope Community Church in Oregon, OH.

Left behind to grieve her passing are her children, John (Linda), Evelyn Patricia Oliger, Gloria (Mike) Ferree and Tina (Ed) Van Leuven; her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; her brother, Larry (Linda) Miner; her sister, Mary Lou Sackett; and her sister-in-law, Mary Lou Miner. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 70 years Samuel, and five of her children, Peggy, Diana, Debbie, Vicki and Sam Jr.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 1:00 p.m. Betty will be laid to rest with her husband at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
