Brenda S. Fondessy

Brenda S. Fondessy, 80 years old, of Oregon, Ohio entered into eternal peace on May 27th, 2026. She was born in Dorothy, West Virginia, to Johnney C. Osborne and Christine E. (Walker) Osborne on August 6, 1945. She was a graduate of Clay High School, class of ’63. Brenda was passionate about giving back and supported many organizations. When there was a need to support local student lunches at Oregon City Schools, she provided the funds. 

In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball, fishing with her husband and spending time on Lake Erie. She was also a state champion bowler. She worked at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio for a number of years. She greatly enjoyed hosting her high school reunions and staying active in her community, including attending many Clay High School football games. For many years, Brenda and her husband Richard spent their winters either in Florida or roaming the United States in their motor home. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, sister, Linda (Marv) Wilhelm, and son, Joe Kiss, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 26 years, Richard Fondessy and much-loved pet, Winnie. 

She is survived by her loving daughter Doreen (Doug) Cousino, daughter-in-law Jennifer Kiss, and step-daughter Dianne (Ron) Swartz. She was loved and cherished by her grandchildren: Michael (Ashley), Christopher (Beth), and Carly (Mike) Calevro, Joey (Ashley), Joshua (Alayna), and Jonah (Riley) Kiss and great-grandchildren: Nora and Lucy Calevro and Dominic Calevro. She leaves behind many friends. She will be sadly missed and happily remembered by all.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, June 2nd at Freck Funeral Chapel from 2pm - 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, the Clay High School Athletics Department or to your favorite charity.
