Carrie Sue Sellgren

Carrie Sellgren, age 49, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026 surrounded by family members at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Sylvania. She was born on December 5, 1976 in Toledo, Ohio to Linda Kurth and Gerald Landis. Carrie was a 1995 graduate of Notre Dame Academy and worked as a Senior Program Manager for marketing and direct to donor recruitment for the American Red Cross Blood Services for the past 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was often found swimming in her pool, crafting, or spending time admiring flowers. Carrie loved animals, especially dogs and hummingbirds. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Carrie is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Steve Sellgren; children Alec and Crysta Sellgren; father, Gerald (Bonnie) Landis; stepfather, Mike Tatro; her siblings, Jerry (Mandi) Landis, Mike (Jessica) Tatro, and Jena (PJ) Fretti; aunt and uncle, Sharon and Vince Filimon and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Tatro, and grandparents, Madeline and Al Kurth and Dorothy and Harold Landis.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 2-8:00 p.m. where services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
