Charles Elmer Hall, Jr, 82, of Toledo, OH, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, August 27, 2021. He was born August 14, 1939 in Portage, PA to Charles Sr. and Ida (Leturgey) Hall. He married the love of his life, Thelma, and together they raised their family.  Chuck loved racing and raced in the ARCA Figure-8 Division from the early 1960’s to the late 1980’s.  He drove his #5 car to 35 ARCA Figure-8 wins at Toledo Speedway, setting the record as most wins for any driver. He also won 55 feature wins at the Flatrock Speedway. Chuck won the World Figure Figure-8 Championship in New York in 1976 and 1979. When not racing, he worked as a skilled heavy equipment operator.  He was also an avid pool player and enjoyed playing pool.  He loved to spend time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren and many good friends.

Chuck leaves behind his children, Tina, Charles III, and Katherine; his grandchildren, Amanda, Sarah (Andrew), Anthony, and Alexa; his 8 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Joseph. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma; his son-in-law, Michael; his siblings, James, Louise (Frank) and Bertha; his sister-in-law, Gail; and his parents.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at North Oregon Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the family.
