Darla J. Husen

Darla J. (Butterfield) Husen, age 57, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, peacefully at home, surrounded by family, from a variety of medical complications. Darla was a graduate of Morrison R. Waite High School, class of '88. She was a person who always spoke her mind and loved to help people. She loved to paint, make jewelry, and sew. She was in the Bay Park ICU so many times that they became family to her. She loved them all.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert J. Butterfield, and mother, Mary Ann Butterfield. Darla is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Bryan V. Husen; daughter, Katie (Eduardo Coronado) Husen; granddaughter, Lina; and her favorite dog, Cuddles; sisters, Donna (Brian) St. John, Darlene (Eleazar) Ysasi, and Debbie (Ahmed) Al-Khudhair; her many nieces and nephews; and best friend, Dani Clarke. She left many memories that will always be cherished, like making pierogies and sugar cookies with her nieces, jamming out to loud music, road trips with her best friend Dani, fishing and being with "her boys" Zain and Nameer, decorating Lina's first Easter cake with her, and so much more. She wished for more, but unfortunately she was not given the time to. She will always be missed and loved deeply within all our hearts.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd. Oregon, Ohio, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 2 until 4 p.m. At 4 p.m., the family will host a time of sharing. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the family.
