Deborah “Deb” Lucille Kidwell, age 75, resident of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio – Perrysburg. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, on February 9, 1951.
Deb attended Waite High School and was a long-time resident of East Toledo. She devoted much of her life to caring for her family. She was widely known as a social butterfly; her radiant personality and genuine kindness meant that everyone knew her and enjoyed her company. Her love for people was evident in her active involvement with the VFW Posts 2984 and 2510, where she volunteered extensively. Her leadership and commitment were further exemplified during her tenure as past president of the Women’s Auxiliary 2510, where she worked tirelessly to support veterans and their families. Deb and her cousin started a unique karaoke business. Together, they traveled to various local businesses, bringing joy and entertainment to many audiences with their spirited shows.
Her culinary talents were fondly remembered by all, especially her delicious cabbage rolls, chicken Paprikash and goulash, dishes that became cherished staples at family gatherings. Deb adored children and found joy in spending time with her grandchildren, cherishing every moment she could with them. Deb loved to travel to Virginia and Kentucky to spend crazy times with family. Deb also enjoyed quieter moments, such as her fondness for going to Walmart.
Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. May her memory live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Tammy Belcher; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Ann (Charles) Hansen, William (Nadine) Dukeshire, Sandra (Larry) Albright, Ellen (Mark) Stoner, and Luann (Ron) Harris, along with many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her best friend, Sue Gremminger, along with many other friendships that were special to her.
Deb was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Terrence Kidwell; daughter, Jennifer Lyn Kidwell; mother, Lily Dukeshire; sister, Vickie (Ricky) Watkins; brother, James Dukeshire; and niece, Tonya Sue Hansen.
Family and friends may gather at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Road Oregon, Ohio 43616, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm, where the memorial service will take place at 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E River Rd, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
