Deborah Lou King age 76 of Oregon entered into eternal life on Saturday, July 20, 2024 after injuries sustained in an auto accident. She was born into this life on the same day July 20th 76 years prior in 1948 to Clifton and Mary Lou King in Toledo, Ohio. Deb graduated from Waite High School in 1967 and went on to become an LPN and later a respiratory therapist. She was a God-loving, Faith-filled person who stayed curious and studied all religions, she recently started studying Hebrew. Deb lived in several cities, including San Diego, California, Columbus, and Toledo, Ohio. Her volunteer efforts included inner-city ministries like Helping Hands here in Toledo. She loved the Gospel and was on fire to share it with as many people as possible. Deb was a people person and kept strong relationships with many people. As a neighbor in her community, she loved game nights, encouraged people to walk with her, and always checked in on her neighbors. Deb walked 3 miles in the park every day and made sure to feed the birds. Her constant companion was her beloved cat Indy. To meet Deb was to be touched by someone whose Faith was so strong it was contagious, she always left you with joy in your heart and a smile on your face.
Deb is survived by her sisters Connie (the late Bruce) Sanderson, Patti (the late Roger) Gossett, Barbara (Larry) Molnar, Michelle (Chris Sr.) Nemecek, Angela (Doug) Hess, and Monique (Keven) Anderson; nieces and nephews Traci (Jeromy) Lewis, Jessica Nemecek, Jason Molnar, Laura (Andy) Ebright, Kelly (Monny) Yakumithis, Michael (Coral) Nemecek, Julie (Lee) Sechrist, Nathan (Allie) Molnar, Erica (Adam) Houser, Justin (Stephanie) Stager, Melissa (Matt) Alleva, Danielle (Sherron) Linear, Maren Anderson, Kelsey (Dustin) Schultz, and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers-in-law, nephew Chris “Buddy” Nemecek Jr., and great niece Elena Yakumithis.
A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd. in Oregon, Ohio on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on the corner of Locust at Erie St. in Toledo on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. where the family will receive friends one hour before Mass. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are appreciated to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
