Dolores K. Willingham, age 57 of Toledo, passed away on December 5, 2021 at her home. She was born on September 29, 1964 to Ira and Sis (Edwards) Maze in Toledo, and graduated from Waite High School in 1982.
Dolores was the family’s compass and backbone. She was always there for anyone who needed her help or just listen. Even up until her final days, she was calling her children, nieces, and nephews just to check in and see how they were doing. Before her MS diagnosis, she was a concert fanatic. She had to have seen almost every rock band live and enjoyed taking her friends and family to concerts as well. She loved watching her soap operas and General Hospital and was always cheering for Ohio State whenever there was a game. Making people smile was her specialty, and never went a day without doing so. She was such a strong woman. She will be dearly missed.
Dolores is survived by her husband, Norman; children, Jack Dewaard, Jr, Jake (Renee) Dewaard, Jasmine Dewaard, and Jordan Dewaard; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Cash; siblings, Darla (Tim) Wilson, Rex (Vicki) Maze, and Debbi Tibble; mother-in-law, Dee Bacon; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Sis; grandchild, Gabriel; father-in-law, Dell Willingham; and brother-in-law Rick Tibble.
Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 1-4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
