Edna L. Irwin

Edna L. Irwin, age 87, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Foundation Park.  She was born on July 28, 1936 in Titusville, Pennsylvania to Miller and Lena (Parrett) Gilson.  Edna worked for Crown Cork & Seal Co. for over 20 years.  She was an excellent cook and baker.  Edna loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, immensely and enjoyed visiting her family and friends.  She will be dearly missed.

Edna is survived by her children, Bonnie S. Whitner, and Terry (Sherry) Irwin; grandchildren, Angela, Jay, Amber, Katie, Dustin, Jarod, Casey, and Samantha.  Among her many great-grandchildren, Ciara and Nick were very special to her.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her children, Willard “Les” Irwin, Lisa L. Bunce, and James S. Irwin; her grandchildren, Shannon and Bailey James; and her 13 siblings.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from 12-6:00 p.m. where services will be held at 6:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
