Eleanor Scheiba

Eleanor Joan Scheiba, 86, of Oregon, OH passed to God’s Eternal Garden on July 7, 2022, at St. Charles Hospital after a short illness. She was born on March 5, 1936, to Bessie Clark and Wade Carter and attended DeVilbiss High School. She married the love of her life, Donald Scheiba, a railroad conductor. Eleanor was an active gardener with the Friends of Pearson Park for 25 years, and she took special pride in tending the flowers for the Window on Wildlife, which she maintained with her husband. She was also active in the Oregon Senior Center.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Winston, and Eugene, as well as her husband, Donald. She is survived by sister-in-law, Carol Carter, nephews, Tom and Craig Carter, and niece, Joy Garcia.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Metroparks. A graveside service and burial will be held at Toledo Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in Section 14.
