Farrell Spence

Farrell Spence ,71, passed away on September 23, 2026. He was born to Paul and Theone (Humphrey) Spence on December 14, 1954, in Toledo. Farrell proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he earned the distinction of serving as a sharpshooter. Later in life he would reconnect with longtime friend Pamela Dudkowski, and they would marry on February 2, 2002. Together they celebrated 24 years of marriage and raised three children.

Farrell held many jobs throughout the years, his last position serving as a heavy equipment operator for Midwest Terminals for 13 years until his retirement. He was known as a jokester, keeping his friends and family laughing with many practical jokes throughout the years. He was a hard worker who enjoyed working outdoors in his yard. Farrell was also a proud member of AA, reaching 27 years of sobriety. He had a special love for his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He always took pride in his look, earning the nickname of “Funky”. Those who knew Farrell knew he was a man of deep faith, with a great love for the Lord.

Farrell is survived by his wife, Pam Spence; children, Madison Spence and Courtney and Eric (Stephannie) Hymore; grandchildren; Cooper, Wesley, Keegan, Wyatt, and Keira and brother, Donald ( Norma) Spence. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Patricia James, Paul, his twin brother Darrel and little sister Cheryl.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd. in Oregon, Ohio on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 2 until 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the chapel beginning at 6 p.m. Memorial contributions in Farrell’s honor can be made to AA ( Alcoholics Anonymous).
