Forest D. Selleck, Jr.

Forest D. Selleck, Jr., 92, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Monday, February 17, 2020. He was born January 21, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio to Forest D., Sr. and Lorena (Swigart) Selleck. Forest was a volunteer fireman for 41 years in Oregon and Millbury area. He worked as a mechanic for GM for 31 years prior to his retirement. Forest was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran who served in the Korean War and later as a member of the American Legion Christ Dunberger Post 537. In his free time, Forest enjoyed amateur radio.

Forest is survived by his wife of 69 years, Charlotte J. Selleck; children, Diane Browning, Robert Selleck, Gary (Mary) Selleck; grandchildren, Lauren, Chris, Gretchen, Hannah, Jennifer, James, Jeremy, and Samantha. He was preceded in death by his son, Don Selleck; parents; and brother, Bill.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, February 21, 2020, from 2-8 p.m. with a fireman's service to begin at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home, with the family to receive guests after 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at N. Oregon Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Oregon Fire & Rescue Department.
