Franklin “Frank” Diekman

Franklin H. Diekman, 92, passed away at Hospice Northwest Ohio Toledo Center on Thursday, May 10, 2018 three months after losing his loving wife of 71 years, Betty.  He was born on November 6, 1925 to Frederick and Anna Diekman.  Frank worked over 30 years as a truck driver for Sunoco.  He was a member of St. Peters UCC in Millbury.  He and Betty traveled extensively and together enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards and bingo.  They spent many days at Walbridge Senior Center and prior to that, many winters in Florida.

They had four children, Gary (Judy), Linda Wamer, William (Margaret) Diekman and Debora Davis; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and brothers.  He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; sister, Grace (Gary) Shessler and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in St. Peter’s UCC, 28505 Main St. Millbury, OH. 43447 where family will receive guests after 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at Lake Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Peter’s UCC, Millbury or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
