Gayle E. Vasko, age 74, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg Center. She was born on October 15, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio, to Art and Mary (Williams) Hill. Gayle was a proud member of Evergreen High School’s very first graduating class. She went on to work as a bookkeeper for many years, where her kindness, attention to detail, and steady presence were deeply valued.
Gayle had a lifelong love of bowling and shared that passion with others by running bowling leagues for many years at Eastern Lanes. But more than anything, her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mom, grandmother, daughter, and sister whose love and support shaped the lives of those she held dear. Nothing made her happier than watching her sons grow into the men they became and seeing the joy of her grandchildren, Drew and Casey. She treasured every moment spent with them, whether it was cheering them on at their activities, sharing family meals, or simply being present with a warm smile and listening ear.
Gayle is survived by her sons, Tony (Shena) Vasko and Aaron Vasko; her beloved grandchildren, Drew and Casey Vasko; and her sister, Bonnie (Don) Diller.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Dennis Hill; and her sister, Sharon Hill.
A celebration of Gayle’s life will be held at Penny Jo’s Eastern Lanes 3511 Woodville Road, Northwood, Ohio 43619 where family and friends will gather to remember the love, laughter, and light she brought to their lives.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
