Gerald Lajti

Gerald Lajti, 64, passed away on October 24th, 2025 at his home in Toledo. He was born to John and Margaret (Strick) Lajti in Oregon on May 12, 1961. Gerald would go on to meet Mary Bedee and they would be married on August 16, 1985. Together Gerald and Mary would celebrate 40 years of marriage and raise three children together.

Gerald was a carpenter by trade, but was a talented master craftsman known for his work on pole barns. In addition to working with his hands, Gerald found joy in riding Harley motorcycles. Family was extremely important to him and he often spent time with his boys and his grandchildren, who he had a special love for. The impact Gerald had on his loved ones will be deeply missed by all those who had the opportunity to have crossed paths with him during their lifetime.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Mary Lajti; children, April Lajti, Gerald Lajti Jr., and Garrett Lajti; grandchildren, Alexis, Ally, and Ava; brothers, John Lajti, Ron (Shirley) Lajti, Steve (Mary) Lajti, Daniel (Judy) Lajti, and William Lajti; sisters, Marianne (Joe) Schemendur. Jean ( Mike) Munsh, Rosemary (Jim) Kerekes, Joyce Chandler. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Gerald in death are his parents, brother Thomas and sister Rita. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
