It is with heavy heart to announce the passing of Jackie Bartram, 4/19/39 to 5/29/25. Surviving are son, Charles Thomas, grandson, Michael Thomas, granddaughter, Rebecca Emily and specially acquired grandsons, Jacob and Jordan Market. Jack's deceased sisters and brother, Mary, Hannah, Naomi, Esther, brother Bob, and wife of 57 years, Emajean Bartram.
Raised in Kentucky with parents, Laura and Ova Collier, before graduating high school, Jack volunteer enlisted in the U.S. Army in July 1959. Serving 3 years active and 3 years inactive reserves, Jack worked as an electrical navigational and communication equipment technician.
On December 28, 1963, Jackie married his neighborhood sweetheart, Emajean Zacharias (11/17/43 – 3/3/21). Charles Thomas was born soon after. Family was Jack’s utmost priority besides his faith.
A pillar of the community, some might say, Jack was heavily involved in his son’s Little League baseball as a coach. The family traveled during summers to games and to visit family in the south. After retiring from Chrysler after 35 years, Jack became a ranger at Maumee Bay Golf Course and enjoyed golfing for many years. He supported his grandchildren’s sports and academics.
Loving his country and patriotism, Jack eventually joined American Legion Post 537, Oregon, Ohio, and served in the Color Guard. A highlight of the week was playing cards with his nephews, each representing one of Jack’s sisters. Jack’s infectious energy, sharp wit, positive disposition, strong faith, and unconditional love for his family will be sorely missed. Rest in peace, brother Jack.
