Jackie "Jack" Mihlbauer

September 3, 1937 — June 21, 2021

Jackie J. Mihlbauer, 83, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Orchard Villa.  He was born on September 3, 1937 in Greendale, Ohio to Bernard and Nellie Mihlbauer.  Jack served in the U.S. Army, during the Cuban Missile Crisis years.  He worked as a glass worker for L.O.F. retiring with over 25 years of service.  Jack was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.  Through his church he volunteered with Helping Hands of St. Louis and other community organizations and served as the church custodian for many years.   In his younger years, Jack and his wife, Flo were foster parents and raising 5 boys of their own, Jack was involved in many activities such as the YMCA Indian Guides, Boy Scouts, camping and all their sports activities.  He will be dearly missed.

Jack is survived by his wife of 62 years, Flo; sons, Jeffery Mihlbauer, John (Terri) Mihlbauer, James (Erika) Mihlbauer, Jerry (Rachel) Mihlbauer, and Jasin Mihlbauer; grandchildren, Stephanie (Korey) Dye, Jessica Mihlbauer, Aaron Mihlbauer, Brittany Mihlbauer, Allison Mihlbauer, Alex Mihlbauer, and Olivia Mihlbauer; great-grandchildren, Harper and Harrison; and siblings, Ardeth (Robert) Cerana, Kathy Busch, and Diane (Earl) Pierce.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, John Busch.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, June 27, 2021, from 2-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to Helping Hands of St. Louis or Faith United Methodist Church.
