James Ray (Butch) Oberdier

James Ray Oberdier “Butch” passed away unexpectedly at Toledo Hospital on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Butch was born on May 5, 1963 in Santa Monica, California. He was the kind of guy who followed the beat of his own drum. Ornery and Stubborn as most Oberdier’s are, Butch was one of the most genuine men you could ever meet and loved his family and having fun with his friends. He was a hard worker always keeping busy with drywall, roofing, tree service, and other construction jobs. Butch was a lover of life and lived every day to the fullest.

Butch is survived by his wife Susan; children Antony, Justin, Randi (Logan), and Sentori (Mikey); grandchildren Jaydah, Angelique, Little Tony, Toni and Bentley; siblings Steve (Cheryl), Debbie, Dewey (Missy), John D., Carl (Tonya), Dale, Jeff, Chuck, Tony, Pam (Joe), and Fred (Denise); his dog cuddles and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Lucille (Sue) and John W.(Dude), son Jamie, granddaughter Sadie, and sisters Mary and Diana.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd. in Oregon, Ohio a week from Friday , on Friday March 22, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. continuing on with burial in North Oregon Cemetery. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the family.
