Janet (Nusbaum) Lester Hack

Janet M. Lester Hack, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at the age of 87.  She was born on January 2, 1935, to Michael and Adeline (O’Bryan) Nusbaum in Toledo, Ohio.  Janet was a 1953 graduate of Central Catholic High School.  She retired from Jobst Institute in 1986 and from Toledo Public Schools in 2011.  Janet was an active and former member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and is a current member of Epiphany of the Lord Parish.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Pamela Lester and Merry (Jeffrey) Taylor; grandchildren, Stephanie (Marshall) Thompson, Daniel (Evangeline) Taylor, Andrew (Heather) Taylor, and Jessica (Brad) Vogelbacher; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, James (David Brandt) Nusbaum; sister-in-law, Joyce Lester, brother-in-law, James Stader, and many nieces, and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, James Lester; 2nd husband, Ernest Hack; son, Robert Lester; brothers, Charles and Rollin Nusbaum; sisters, Lois Dazell Frelin, and Carol Best Stader and sister-in-law, Annette Lester

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, July 15, 2022, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Epiphany of the Lord Parish-Sacred Heart Church.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Alzheimer Association, or donor’s choice.
