Janet H. Peacock

Janet Peacock, age 87, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born on June 28, 1939 to Harold and Helen (Susor) Konoff. Janet was a 1957 graduate of Clay High School. She worked as secretary for the City of Oregon Civil Service Department and Inspection for 25 years, retiring in 1996. Janet was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church where she served many years as a greeter and usher and helped with the church festivals. Janet was also a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Red Hat Society.

Janet dedicated her life to her family. She was a caregiver to her son, Terry for 26 years. She loved spending time organizing all the holidays, family birthdays and get togethers. Janet enjoyed her monthly card games and lunches with her various friends and family. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and feeding the birds. She will be dearly missed.

Janet is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Daniel Peacock; children, Jean Czerniak, Ted (Margie) Peacock, and Tim Peacock; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandson; and her sister, Joanne Koch.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Terry Peacock and brother-in-law, Ronald Koch.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, July 17, 2026 from 4 – 8:00 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church where family will greet guests from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Ignatius Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
