Jay Drouillard

Jay Franklin Drouillard, 77, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born on February 13, 1948 in Oregon, OH to Joseph and June (Clark) Drouillard. He would later meet Mary O’Hair and they would marry on January 20, 1983. Mary and Jay would go on to raise two children together and celebrate 42 years of marriage. 

Jay was a mechanic who worked for Dunn Chevy for 17 years and recently at Wal-Mart. Jay had a passion for classic cars serving as a member of the Placers Car club in Point Place. During his time Jay and his wife would often work fundraisers with the group raising money for such organizations as Make-A-Wish, various hospices, and The Ronald McDonald House. When not dealing with cars, especially his own 1948 classic Pontiac, Jay found happiness in playing golf, shooting pool, and this summer he began playing cornhole. He was a funny guy, often swinging his cane around trying to dance, and joking with loved ones. He was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Florida Gators, even having canes adorned with their colors. Above all, Jay was someone who cared deeply for his loved ones, his family was his life. 

Jay is survived by his wife, Mary Marlene Drouillard; children, Toby (Deanna) and Serena (Lindsay) Drouillard and Jay Jr.; grandchildren, Megan, Danica, and Brixton; sisters, Pam and Nancy, and numerous nieces, nephews, and various other family members. Preceding him in death are his parents, daughter Suzie, and siblings, Jimmy, Fred, John, Joe, John Wayne, Terry, “Chick”, Henrietta, Joann, Barb, and Ruthie.

 Family and friends may visit from 10:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec.13, 2025, in the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon, where the funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in Jay’s memory can be made to the care of the family.
