Jeffery G. Sprague

Jeffrey G. Sprague, age 60, of West Bloomfield, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. He was born on August 6, 1966 to Gordon and Sharon (Ensign) Sprague in Toledo, Ohio. Jeff was raised in Oregon, Ohio, and enjoyed fishing, swimming, baseball and attending many family gatherings and parties. He was active in the Church and was an avid Ohio State and New York Yankees fan. He also enjoyed writing programs on early home computers.

Jeff was a 1984 graduate of Clay High School and was a member of the marching band. He graduated from Ohio State University in 1989, became a CPA and worked for over 30 years in public accounting and private industry. He also earned a master’s degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati.

Jeff lived in southern California, Cincinnati, and southeast Michigan, and was active in Church groups, photography clubs, and Ohio State Alumni clubs. Jeff especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and will be fondly remembered for the memories he made and the moments he captured with one of his many cameras.

Jeff is survived by his loving brothers, Michael Sprague and Steven (Karen) Sprague; nephews, Mason (Kaitlin) Sprague, Miles; nieces, Hannah, Haylee and Eden Sprague. He was preceded in death by his loving parents.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon, Ohio, on Monday, November 9, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Christ United Methodist Church 5757 Starr Ext. Oregon, OH at where family will greet guests from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Fort Meigs Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Christ United Methodist Church.
