Jeremey A. Redfox

Jeremey Adam Redfox, age 52, of Luckey, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Bay Park Hospital. Jeremey was born in Toledo, Ohio, on November 6, 1973. A native Eastsider, he was a 1992 graduate of Waite High School.

Jeremey is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Sarah; daughter Kayla, grandson Henry, Mother-in-Law and forever supporter Tracy Storer; son Tyler (Gabby), grandson Killian; stepmother Joyce (Roger) Riggs; siblings Big Brother Jeff (Tricia) Anderson, Bob Redfox, Jodi Redfox-Ray, Jay Michael Redfox, and Chris (Rachel) Varga; brother-in-law and Right hand man, T.J. Ray; best Friends Tom (Cindy) Trendel, JD Nemire, and Angel (Fred) Bussdecker and many other family and friends that will always be considered family. Jeremey was preceded in death by his Father, Jeffrey, and brothers, James and J.R.

Jeremey was a self-made man. He started as a brick tender with the help of his Big Brother Jeff. From that starting point, he began to learn the trade of Tile Installer. He worked as a tile installer for several years before starting his very first company, Redfox Tile Co., back in 1998. From there, he became a master at his trade and then still wanted to be better and do more. After having worked with so many successful area builders in the NW Ohio area and learning the ins and outs of home building, with a lot of support and guidance from other area builders at the time such as Seneca Builders, Doug Howard Builders, and Kountry Side Custom Homes, he began his path as a Home Builder, opening up Redfox Custom Homes LLC in 2015. Since then, he has built about 100 homes in the NW Ohio area, each one unique and as great, if not better, than the one before. He continually expanded and grew due to his willingness and desire to learn. He would always say, “I don’t know, but I’ll find out” and he would, and then he would retain it and do it all over again.

While operating Redfox Custom Homes, Jeremey built a team of the highest quality tradesmen/women in the area. His expectation and drive for perfection and quality are unmatched. Because of this, he has received multiple awards over the last decade, including:

Lastly, Jeremey made an intentional point of dedicating his time to help and guide the future generation of the building industry. By joining the Home Builders Association of Greater Toledo more than ten years ago, then transitioning into a Board Member to shifting into an Officer role, and most recently serving as the current Vice President, he was sure to push for the high standards he held for himself to be spread and shared with anyone in earshot. As a proud supporter and sponsor of Build My Future, Jeremey was a force of nature when recruiting, inspiring, and mentoring the future generation of all of the contractors and the building trades. He knew how essential it was to set standards and expectations but also to nurture and cultivate the relationships that will carry on into the future. He would always say, “I’m just a dirty white boy from the Eastside” because he did not have much when he was growing up. He spent his adult life working tirelessly to show that he was capable and to show everyone else that all things are possible when you have a desire to learn, a strong work ethic, drive, and the support of everyone you surround yourself with. He then was sure to never forget where he came from and would often make donations and dedicate time and resources to people in need in his current community but more so in his childhood community of East Toledo. Whether he was taking the time and care to help someone rebuild after a devastating fire or jumping in and remodeling a bathroom for someone with life-changing needs to choosing to donate his hard-earned money, supplies, or Christmas gifts to the children at East Broadway Elementary, Jeremey knew how important it was to be a positive impact and force in this world. He used his powers for so much good that we pray that that Legacy lives on through all he affected with his life force.

His motto, “It’s your dream, I just want to be in it” was a true statement. He understood the value of what he was building for each and every one of his Home Owners because he truly valued and appreciated the Dream come true he and Sarah built in their 23 years, 8 months, and 6 days of marriage.

To know Jeremey was to know Love, Honor, Respect, Trust, Honesty, and Loyalty. The values of his company and the people that surrounded him and his family speak to his true character and his drive to be the best possible Man he could be. He fiercely loved and was immensely proud of his family and friends, and it shined through in every interaction and left a long-lasting impression, whether you knew him for years or had just met him. His family and friends will never forget the Legacy he has created.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 Wynn Rd in Oregon, Oh on Thursday August 13, 2026 from 12:00-8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at Mainstreet Church, 5465 Moline-Martin Rd, Walbridge, Oh, on August 14, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with service starting at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Unicorn Crossing located on the family’s property in Luckey, Oh. In lieu of flowers, it would be appreciated that Memorial contributions be directed to East Broadway Elementary School in order to continue Jeremey’s dedication of being the silent benefactor of the Christmas Basket Program.
