Jose L. Jimenez

Jose L. Jimenez, 80, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at home surrounded by family.  He was born on March 14, 1942 in Cotulla, Texas to Luis and Ramona Jimenez.  Jose worked for Libbey Glass, retiring after 40 years of service.  He enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and playing baseball.  Jose was a kind and generous person.  He opened his house up to many over the years.  Most of all, Jose loved spending time with his family.  He will be dearly missed.

Jose is survived by his daughters, Sylvia Herrera, Annette (Jose) Bernal, and Maria (David) Arriaga; grandchildren, Jessica (Jeremiah) Cheatham, Angelo (Stephanie) Herrera and Gabriel (Chyeanne) Herrera, Carlos and Julian Bernal and Selena (Ashley) Arriaga and 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Beatrice Lopez; half-brother, David Jimenez; step siblings, Linda Ballez, Carmen Perez, and Bobby Lozano.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alicia.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 11:00-1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
