Joyce Trowbridge

Joyce Trowbridge, age 84, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Landings of Oregon. She was born on February 14, 1941 in Monroe County, Kentucky to James and Anna (Jones) Soards. Joyce married Lendal D. Trowbridge on July 19, 1958 and he preceded her in death August 11, 2021. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Joyce was a member of Athens Missionary Baptist Church where she involved in the ladies group helping with church dinners. She was a wonderful cook, known for her peanut butter pie. In her spare time, Joyce enjoyed crafting, sewing and shopping. She will be dearly missed.

Joyce is survived by her children, Tim (Debra) Trowbridge and Pam (Jeff) Bryan; grandchildren, Ashley (Joe) Hagedorn, Jeffrey (Cassandra) Bryan, Evan (Kennedy) Trowbridge, and Amy Trowbridge; great-grandchildren, Jack, Emma, Jacob, Tucker, and Logan; siblings, Betty Sue Proffitt, Linda (Johnny) Harlow, and Tony (Cheryl) Soards; brother-in-law, Mitchel Bray; sister-in-law, Margaret Soards, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lendal Trowbridge; her siblings, Mary Bray, Jim (Pat) Soards, Bill Soards, and Marjorie Maiden; and brothers-in-law, Wilson Proffitt, and Roy Maiden.

Family and friends may visit the Athens Missionary Baptist Church, 101 Breckman St. Walbridge, OH 43465 on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 2-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place at the church on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Athens Missionary Baptist Church.
