Judy was born on July 26, 1940, to William (“Bill”) and Iva Collins. She spent her childhood dancing and making cherished memories with her brothers and sister. On September 27, 1958, she married the love of her life, Antonio “Tony” Schiavone Sr. Together they shared 59 years of marriage and raised six children, building a family that became Judy’s greatest pride and joy.
In addition to being a devoted mother, Judy was a hardworking and accomplished businesswoman. Alongside her husband, she owned and operated bars and restaurants and later worked at Market Research of Toledo. She was also a talented cook who never let anyone leave her home hungry. Whether preparing a holiday feast or a simple family meal, Judy expressed her love through food and hospitality. Her favorite was baking trays at Christmastime filled with the best cookies to give to her family and friends.
Judy loved camping and spent many happy years traveling across the country with Tony and their cousins, creating lifelong memories along the way. She loved to sing karaoke and spent countless evenings playing cards. Above all else, she treasured her family. Nothing brought her greater happiness than gathering everyone together for holidays, celebrations, and family dinners. She was a one-of-a-kind grandmother whose love, warmth, and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her.
In her last several months , she found love and companionship with George. They committed themselves to one another before God and shared her final Months with faith, happiness, devotion and mutual support.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings; her beloved husband, Tony; and her daughter, Kim.
She is survived by her children, Antonio Jr., Johanna, Tamra, Dean (Sally), and Vincent (Amy); her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her companion, George; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Judy’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice staff, caregivers, friends, and loved ones who provided comfort, compassion, and support throughout her final journey. Their kindness and dedication brought peace to Judy and her family during a difficult time.
Her legacy of love, generosity, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
