Kathaleen Surprise

On the 8th of November Kathaleen May (Wagner) Surprise lost her battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents Gladys O'Leary (Wagner), her father George Wagner Sr, her brothers George Wagner, Micheal Wagner and sisters Sherry (Vint) Wagner, Christina (Crapsy) Wagner.

Kathy was born in Toledo Ohio on 9 March 1949. She married Mark Surprise, a career Sailor in the U.S. Navy, and they had 3 children and 2 grandchildren, Richard, Shawna, Jason, and Grandchildren Austin and Haley. Much of Kathy's early life was spent raising her 3 children. As the children got older she started working as a teacher's aid at Doris Miller Elementary in San Diego, California. After completing her education she moved into nursing. This included time as an emergency room nurse and teaching at medical training facilities in California, Ohio and Colorado. After retiring Kathy moved from Colorado back to Ohio to spent time with her family and her dog Hash brown. Kathy is survived by her children, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A remembrance service for Kathy will be announced at a later date.
