Katherine Devota (Doty) Yates

Katherine Devota Yates “Doty” age 90 passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio- Toledo Center. Doty was born to Joseph H. and Urah Mae (Sell) Altman on November 19, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio. She was a 1950 graduate of Central Catholic High School. Doty worked as a code designer for National Family Opinion until her retirement. She loved craft making and teaching crafts.

Doty is survived by her daughters Cynthia Brown-Enriquez, Denise Neal, and Darla Gilkerson; grandmother to 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; siblings Dally DeVene, Joanne Peters, and James Altman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Loren Yates and her parents.

Services will be private. A Celebration of Life will be planned in June. Memorial contributions are appreciated to Hospice of Northwest of Ohio.
