Kay Ann Falk (Ollivier) 

Kay A. Falk, 81, of Northwood, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. She was born on August 1, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to Herbert and Rita Ollivier (Upham). Kay was a 1962 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. She married her husband of 55 years, John E. Falk on January 8, 1966, and they started their family raising six children. In addition to their children, Kay and John fostered over 20 children from 1979-1993. Kay retired from the Sun Oil Refinery with 28 years of service. She was a very proud and active union member that advocated for her fellow female coworkers. She was an avid reader, especially when it came to understanding labor laws and how to make sure they were applied equally to women. As a result of her drive and determination a lot of positive changes were made for women that followed her at the workplace. Most of all, Kay was always there to help anyone who was in need. 

She took many trips to Canada, all around Ontario and Niagara Falls with her family for youth hockey. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

 Kay is survived by her children, John “Ty” (Deanna) Falk, Troy (Fauna Gears) Falk, Tammy (Jamie) Brittian, Jon (Jennifer) Falk, and Chelsea (James) Queen; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings, Cheryl (Barry Winters) Sigurdson, Judyth (Galen Schlipf) Risner, Richard Ollivier; in-laws, Dorothy Ollivier, Betty Ollivier, Dian (Norman) Hatch, James (Luanne) Falk, Linda Gercak.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Falk, her parents, father and mother in-law, Alfred and Laura Falk; son, Casey Falk; grandchildren, Kaylee Miller, Patrick and Samantha Falk; brothers, Larry Ollivier, and Russell Ollivier; sister, Nancy Lamb; in-laws, Paul Gercak, Joyce Ollivier, and Sam Lamb. Honoring Kay’s lifelong commitment to helping others, her final act was to donate her body to medical education allowing for continued learning and healing. A private burial will take place at Lake Twp. Cemetery at a later time. 

Family and friends are welcome to visit the Northwood Community Room, 3700 Main St., Northwood, Ohio, 43619, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 1 to 4:00 pm, for a celebration of Kay’s life and luncheon. Service will be held at 1:30 pm with Pastor Paul Reichert officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 East Indiana Ave., Perrysburg, OH 43551, or the Children’s Resource Center, 1045 Klotz Rd Bowling Green, OH 43402.
