Kin Cheung Lau, 78, of Northwood, OH, died Tuesday, February 8, 2022. He was born in Qingyuan, China September 6, 1943 to his delighted mother and father, Jin Zhuo He and Shu Xin Lau. He was one of three children, survived by older sister, Wan Sung Leung, and younger sister, Yun Jin Wu. He came to the US in 1974 to San Francisco, CA where he started a lifelong and rewarding career as a chef. He settled in Ohio where he married Monica Lau (nee Ong). He owned his own restaurant where he served meals proudly for over 30 years. He loved watching sports, especially the NBA, college football, and NFL. Kin enjoyed traveling with his family to various places, including China.
Kin is survived by his wife Monica; his three children, Albert (Zuowei) Lau, Diana (Ben) Chou, and Edward (Karen) Lau; his four grandchildren, Anderson, Emily, Ryker and Lily; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the patriarch of the family. He was a loving father and doting grandfather. He now walks with his granddaughter, Anna, and his parents in heaven.
Private funeral services were held and Kin was laid to rest at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, CA. Arrangements entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel, Oregon, OH.
