Leopoldo S. Pecina Jr.

Leopoldo S. Pecina Jr. age 78 of Toledo passed away December 15, 2023 at home. Leopoldo was born to Leopoldo S. Sr and Refugia (San Miguel) Pecina in San Marcos, Texas on November 11, 1945. He worked as a tradesman in construction until his retirement. Leopoldo was an outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt, camp, and cook out with his family. He enjoyed restoring classic cars, listening to music, and traveling to Texas and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.

Leopoldo is survived by his children Leo Gonzales, Lilly, Amparo, Carlos, Polo, Chino Pecina, Leopoldo Dela O, Sonia, Marcos, Justin Pecina, Lluvia Martinez, Roman, Victoria and Angelo Pecina; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings Esther (Juan) Dionicio, Lily P. Lopez, Marcos (Lucie) Pecina, Refugia (Kookie) Pecina, Angelo (Mary) Pecina, Pablo S. Pecina, and Mary Ellen Pecina; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Leopoldo Sr. and Refugia; siblings Magdaleno, Andres, Robert, Frank, and Ralph Pecina; brothers and sisters-in-law Juventino Lopez, Pedro Sanchez, Dora Castillijas Pecina, Connie O. Pecina, Gloria O. Pecina, and Patrick “Pat” Harris.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 2 until 8 p.m. at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon, Ohio. A funeral service will begin at 6 p.m.
